Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport (MSY)
Facilities and Services

(New Orleans, Louisiana - LA, USA)

Passengers passing through Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport (MSY) will discover an array of shops, eateries and other facilities, within its one main terminal building and four concourse areas. On Concourse D (between gates 2 and 4), the Delta Sky Club is provided by Delta Airlines.

If you have the time, then you can enjoy a sit-down meal at one of the airport's restaurants, while you may prefer to do some shopping, choosing some souvenirs of New Orleans. Worth bearing in mind is the Louisiana Tax Free Shopping scheme for international travelers, whereby you simply show your foreign passport and airline ticket to obtain a refund of sales tax. Visit the Tax Free Counter on the main terminals Upper Level for further details.

Many of the staff can speak different languages or arrange for translators via the Red Cross Language Bank.

Shops, Duty-Free and Retail Outlets

Shops are plentiful throughout the concourses and East / West Terminal areas. Passengers can expect to find outlets of Hudson Booksellers, Hudson News and Westwin, all of which sell a variety of news-related goods and gifts.

Bars, Cafés and Restaurants

When it comes to eating at New Orleans Airport, there are large clusters of eateries, far more than the resident shops. These eateries range from sandwich bars and coffee shops with basic snacks, to pizzerias, restaurants and grills. Always popular are the hotdogs at Lucky Dogs, the sandwiches at Subway and the healthy snack food at the Grove. You may also like to consider a meal at the Creole Carvery, Jester's Grille Bar or the Acme Oyster House.

Business, Currency Exchange and Banking Facilities

Business facilities are in good supply within the dedicated Travelex America Business Center, which awaits businessmen within the ticket lobby, close to the post office, and is open on a daily basis between 09:00 and 17:00. The Travelex Center provides everything from currency exchange, photocopying, faxing, wire transfer and emergency cash. For banking services, head to nearby Whitney Bank, where you can obtain traveler's checks, credit card loans and further currency exchanges. However, do bear in mind that the Whitney Bank is not open at the weekend, being open Monday and Friday, from 08:30 until 16:00.

Disabled Facilities

Louis Armstrong Airport is proud of its easy access and facilities design with disabled travelers in mind. Wheelchair users will be pleased to find that there are no architectural barriers to be found, while those with hearing impairments can make full use of the 11 TDD phones (Telephone Display Devices). The Flight Information Display Monitors (FIDS) can also be used for visual paging where required.
