The buses travel from the terminal buildings to downtown New Orleans (around 35 minutes) and other nearby areas, including the Gulf Coast, Gretna and Kenner. Buses at New Orleans Airport operate outside Entrance number 7 and run daily at regular intervals, providing an inexpensive and useful way to travel to your destination.
Greyhound buses are no longer in operation here, with the nearest Greyhound stop being at the bus station on 1001 Loyola Avenue, at the city's Amtrak train station.

Many New Orleans hotels in the central business district also offer a door-to-door courtesy shuttle bus service for their guests, traveling from New Orleans airport directly to the hotel from outside of the passenger buildings. Tickets for these shuttles are available at ticket booths at the baggage reclaim area on the lower level. Worth noting, advance reservations (minimum 48 hours) are required and passengers are usually restricted to three items of luggage.
Tiger Shuttle vans provide an easy way to reach nearby Baton Rouge (northwest), and to help keep prices at an affordable level, you will usually be expected to share your journey with other passengers.
Taxi Cabs
Taxis are readily available at Louis Armstrong Airport (MSY), being based outside of the baggage reclaim area and featuring curbside collections. They provide a convenient and easy way to travel into nearby New Orleans city and other destinations, such as Bridge City, Chalmette, Estelle, Harvey, Marrero, Metairie, River Ridge, Terrytown and Timberlane.
